The kids were so good at the dentist...

The kids are all having a good day, I pray that it stays that way while Little E is at school. (I have to go have a conference with Little E's teacher tomorrow concerning behaviors).

But, I told them all what I expected of them before we went into the dentist's office. We went in and when Little E got called back, she got a bit scared and wanted me with her. So, we all wound up back there. They brought the kid's each their own chair to sit in and Little E eventually calmed down. She let him check her teeth and she got a bit scared when he was going to try to clean them for the first time ever. She eventually warmed up to the idea and she let him do it. The only hard part was that she started gagging when he gave her the fluoride treatment. She did really good though and Josiah and Baby T sat really well while Little E was getting her teeth cleaned.

Then, when Baby T realized it was her turn she really started crying and carrying on. She finally settled down when I sat in the dental chair with her. Josiah saw that as an opportunity to start getting into stuff. I finally got him to sit and wait and then the assistant asked me if she could take them to play with the toys while I finished up with Baby T. She wasn't going to cooperate for anything more than a visual check, so he said next time he'd try to clean her teeth too. He gave me a free french fry coupon for each kid for doing so well. They were all excited! I told them all how proud I was of each of them for behaving so well.

Poor Deidra...

My little girl has inherited my small mouth.

I took her to the dentist last week for a check-up and the dentist was concerned about crowding and sent us to see the orthodontist. We saw the orthodontist and he said that her permanent teeth that are waiting to come in have already turned to try to come down into the open space, but they're still so big that they really don't have room to come down. So, she has to have two permanent teeth that she already has in pulled to make room for the 2 that need to come down. She goes in next week Wednesday. I had to have several teeth pulled when I was younger from the same problem, so when I told her that she is quick to blame me now. She's scared to death...I keep trying to tell her that the dentist will be gentle, but at the same time with my far of dentists now I'm nervous for her too.

Excited!

We're getting Deidra in to the dentist today for a cleaning and to see what's going on with her tooth. Baby D and Little J also have speech today so Andy is working a half day so that he can be here for the kid's speech appt while I take Deidra to the dentist. After all that, we're going to register my candle business and get my resale license. I am so excited! :-)

Oh No!

Deidra told us yesterday that one of her big girl teeth was loose. She came to show us. Yup, one of her top front teeth can be moved. She hasn't hit it on anything, but it's scaring me. She was just at the dentist 6 months ago and everything looked good. She has her next 6 month appt on Wednesday and our new insurance isn't effective until the 1st. Here I was concerned because she lost the tooth next to it and it didn't grow back in until a good 8-9 months later. That one finally came in and grew all the way in and now the tooth that was there all along is loose.

Abba, please don't let there be any issues with being able to save that tooth.
